Quaker Marine Supply (QMS) is a brand steeped in the grit and pleasures of life on the water.
Founded in Philadelphia in 1949 by a Coast Guard veteran named Joe Kadison, QMS has a long history of serving the sea-loving crowd. The company began as an outfitter specializing in marine hardware and clothing. Starting in the sixties, QMS became known for its long-brimmed caps, notably the Swordfish and the Oysterman, with its patent-leather bill. The latter was a favorite of Ernest Hemingway, who wore it duck hunting in Idaho and sport fishing in Cuba and Key West.
C Woodcock is a proud to offer our customers access to Quaker Marine Supply products through our outstanding affiliate partner program.
Our take on the 1800s French working class uniform serves as a practical, protective piece of outerwear that can stand in for a sport coat in a pinch.
This jacket features three exterior patch pockets and one interior hidden pocket, as well as a herringbone-taped front placket with anchor-engraved buttons. The cuffs have buttons so they can be rolled up for a day's work or if the temperature calls for it.
We made our iconic work jacket in felted wool, a sturdy but super soft wool blend. Easy to take care of and sharp as always-- the Felted Wool French Workman's Jacket is the all purpose outerwear you need this fall.
